To pave the way of First Generation Latina students seeking a career in nursing by helping them with tuition/scholarships and mentorship to achieve their educational dreams, goals and become a credentialed professional while increasing diversity in the nursing profession.
Provide scholarships to first generation Latina students entering an accredited community college with RN programs.
La Luna Foundation will reach first generation Latinas pursuing an education in nursing, changing the underrepresentation of Latina RN’s and increasing diversity. First generation Latinas are faced with challenges and obstacles that prevent them from pursing a college education such as lack of mentorship, guidance from not having a graduate family member to give that support and or challenges with balancing life with their own family, work and or being a single parent.
